Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies that result. Our own servers do not retain a copy of the search. If you contact us, the information we see is the message you choose to send, and it is used to answer that message.
Routine Technical Logs
The host may record normal server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. Those records can be reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which local-record pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and, if present, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
Possible uses are limited to operating the pages, finding technical faults, measuring traffic, and improving the reference material. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not create individual user profiles.
External Records and Search Links
Pages may link to Los Angeles County portals, California state services, the La Cañada Flintridge Library, Lanterman House, archives, and third-party search tools. Information submitted after leaving these pages is governed by the receiving service's privacy policy. The same applies to sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Who May Receive It
Hosting and support providers may process server-log information to keep the pages online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the limited automatic data described above. Disclosure may also occur when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, the service does not disclose visitor information.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above call for them. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles on this service to maintain or expose.
Visitors Under 18
These reference pages are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it.
California Privacy Choices
For covered consumers, California's CCPA and CPRA, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., provide rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, subject to statutory exemptions. Because this service keeps little data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs, then removing information we actually hold. Use the Contact page to ask.
California's Delete Act created a data-broker registry and deletion process. Eligible people can use the California Privacy Protection Agency's DROP service for a centralized deletion or opt-out request across registered brokers, rather than sending the same request one operator at a time. Guidance from the California Attorney General describes the broader CCPA/CPRA rights.
Public records held by La Cañada Flintridge, Los Angeles County, California state offices, or the courts are outside this service's control. A lawful public document cannot be erased by a private directory; correction or redaction must follow the custodian's process, a statute, or a court order. The Secretary of State's Safe at Home program provides an official substitute mailing address and confidential mail forwarding for eligible survivors of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, human trafficking, and certain reproductive-health workers or patients. Protected addresses must not be reverse-engineered from public-record sources.
